February's here and that means it's time for the second instalment of Buckle & Bands's 2024 Wallpapers Of The Month series! Year Of The Dragon | The 10th of February will mark the beginning of the New Year in accordance with the Chinese Lunisolar Calendar. This calendar follows a twelve year cycle with each of the years being assigned to a zodiac animal. As we bring the Year Of The Rabbit to a close we turn our attention to welcoming the Year Of The Dragon which is said to symbolise power, strength and good fortune. You can wear these values on your wrist by installing this red and gold in-house designed Chinese wood dragon Apple Watch face. 

Super Bowl Sunday | The day after we welcome the Year Of The Dragon brings the eagerly awaited Super Bowl LVIII where the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers. Wether you're an NFL nut or prefer the pageantry of the half-time show; all eyes will be on Las Vegas on the 11th for this momentous event. We thought we'd honour this prestigious day for our friends across the pond with this close up of an American Football featuring it's rich brown tones and signature white laces.

Pancake Day | Also known as Shrove Tuesday; in Christianity this is the day that precedes Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. On this day, here in the UK (amongst other locations), we celebrate by making pancakes! There are many theories as to how pancakes have came to be the national food of Shove Tuesday but arguably the most well known is that the act of making pancakes was a good way to use up common household ingredients before their fast during Lent. This year it falls on the 13th and will be celebrated by people of all faiths and ethnicities.

Valentines Day | The day that follows Pancake day is, of course, Valentines Day. Originating as the feast day of St Valentine this holiday now celebrates all things love! Wether you exchange gifts with that special someone or treat that special someone make sure you celebrate in style with this heart-air ballon Apple Watch face.
